Note: Econ 420 may only be taken after completion of the second year of Ph.D. studies
Assistanships:
- M.A. students - 12 hours
- Ph.D. students
- 15 hours for new students or continuing students who have not passed the preliminary examination
- 18 hours for students who have passed the preliminary examination only
- 20 hours for students who have passed both the preliminary and field examinations

International Students:
- SEVIS reportable events (report to International Student Office within ten days of occurrence:
- change of name, address, or curriculum
- change of visa classification
- change of marital status
- change of number of dependents
- change of funding amount or source
- failure to maintain status or complete a program
- change of a dependent's legal name
- change of U.S. address
- graduation prior to SEVIS I-20 end date
- disciplinary actions taken by the school
- F-1 students may not enter U.S. more than 30 days prior to the start date on their I-20.
- Curricular Practical Training (CPT):
- required to graduate
- must be documented by your advisor
- Optional Practical Training (OPT):
- must apply before completion of program (up to 90 days prior)
- must have advisor's recommendation to take part in OPT
