The Celtic American Culutural Club's Shield embodies the main heritage of the club. We are of Scottish, Irish and Welsh heratige and this is represented in our arms.
One of the basic ideas in blazoning (creating) arms is metal on colour or colour on metal. Metal is either Silver/White or Gold/yellow
In the upper three sections contain the three symbols of our heratiage: Green Clover for the Irish, Purple Thistle for the Scottish, and yellow/Gold Daffodil for the Welsh. In the lower section is the Sprig of Oak that represents our affiliation with the University of Connecticut.
