The AML of Gamma Kappa
In 1977, a member of the UConn Marching Band named Kevin Sullivan joined the Gamma Kappa chapter of Tau Beta Sigma at UConn. Although this may be seemingly insignificant in today's sorority, it marked a turning point for TBS. Only in 1974 had the sorority decided to become co-ed and allow men to join. Kevin was the first, and set the precedent for the many men who are proud sisters of TBS today.
In Gamma Kappa, Kevin went through the membership education process, and became a sister. In time, he took a little sister, who was also male. This continued on throughout the years, and became known as Gamma Kappa's "All-Male Line", which continues to this day.
