College: Matt is a 6th semester Music Education Major. He plans to graduate in the spring of 2010 with a B.A. in music and a B.S. in Education. After graduation, he plans to teach middle school band and orchestra.
Band: Matt has been involved in band since fourth grade when he stated playing trombone. Over the years, he has picked up many other instruments, including bass, bagpipes and his principle instrument, the tuba. In high school, Matt was a teaching assistant in the orchestra and was the drill writer and instructor for his high school marching band. He has been playing in the UCMB sousaphone line since his first semester and has since made many unrequited attempts to get his section to dance like they have never danced before.
Sorority: Being one of twelve members of the beta xi class, Matt has had one of the more intense and interesting sorority experiences. He took up the position of website chair in the fall of 2006 and is having a great time doing his job. He would also love to receive comments and suggestions for the site via e-mail.
